PRIVACY POLICY

You may view our Privacy Policy HERE. Our privacy policy shows you how and where we use your data. It is necessary to collect data from you to register you for this event we do not use it for any other purpose. By registering for this event you are agreeing to our privacy policy.


INSURANCE

Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to person or property, including baggage during the conference. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel and tours you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice. The policy taken should include the loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to strikes or other industrial action. The policy should also cover you in case of loss in the event the 15th International Symposium on Variants in the Genome is cancelled for any reason including Force Majeure.  The organisers shall make every effort to realise the event.  The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. The Scientific Faculty nor Global Variome Limited, The Human Variome Project or Meeting Makers Pty Ltd will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure.  Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.

The conference organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, any natural disasters including but not limited to volcano eruptions, earthquakes, weather events, acts or regulations of government, outbreaks of disease including but not limited to COVID-19, SARS, MERS, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. In the event of Force Majeure the organisers shall monitor the situation and keeping the safety of participants in mind may cancel or postpone the event; in this case registration fees shall be held until the next event is realised, if the attendee is unable to attend at the new date substitution of the attendee with another nominated person is permitted; there shall be no refund.  The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause provided it is safe and possible to do so.


OBTAINING OF VISA

If you need a visa to enter the country this event will be held - The organisers shall make every effort to assist applications for visas however Meeting Makers Pty Ltd, Global Variome Ltd and The Human Variome Project will not be held responsible for any problems connected with requirements of authorized agencies at obtaining of visas and realization of customs procedures. If you fail to obtain a visa on-time cancellation procedures will be according to the Refund Policy set out on this Website.
 

CONFERENCE CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

The organisers understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the conference you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge.

A full refund less a €50 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on or before 15th March 2020.

Registration cancellations received between 16th March and 25th April 2020 will receive a 50% refund on the registration fees.

No refunds will be issued on or after 26th April 2020. 

Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.


ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

The organisers understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the conference you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate to stay in the booked accommodation room at no extra charge.

A full refund less a €20 service fee will be issued for cancellations of rooms received on or before 15th March 2020. This is in addition to the cancelled registration fee.

No refunds will be issued on or after 16th March 2020.

Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.

If your room has not been fully paid by 15th March 2020 it will be cancelled.  We have block booked accommodation and the hotels will charge us for any rooms we hold after this date even if we do not use them. We therefore are very strict on this rule.
